Snagged an age group single speed win by 2/10ths of a second at The Divide in Manton.
I pulled him back from a long ways out and we traded spots heading into town. I took the corner to the outside and took the W at the line.
These are valuable points for the single speed gravel series.
I am especially stoked coming off of a second-place age group finish at the cereal city triathlon the day before.

Not all WSI Cycling events take place on the bike. I’m pleased to report another decent trail running finish for the “Traveling Circus” this past weekend. The Dirty Burg included 100 feet of climbing per mile, with the finish being a run up to the top of the ski hill and straight back down again. Nothing like getting in some nice altitude for the day!
There was a great showing of fellow racers and I’m very happy with my 9th out of 29 overall result. Next stop is the Cereal City Triathlon relay with Holly. That should get me back on the bike for a bit!

As road racing in MI dwindles, gravel racing has picked up over the last few years. In addition to standard length gravel races (35-100 miles), more extreme 200 or longer gravel races have also become popular. Our very own Dan Wolin participated in the Coast to Coast, a 210 mile race along with 380 “committed” cyclists who also thought riding across the great state of Michigan would be a good idea.
