2019 Xterra Race Report – Not a Great Day

I was overdue for some bad racing luck.

  1. Tweaked my shoulder race week
  2. Downpour on race day
  3. Mechanical that forced me to hike, push and scoot my bike for 3 miles.
  4. I lost my Fitbit in Eagle Lake

I was happy with my swim, my run and embraced the humbling experience of hiking in the rain.

Ice Man is next.

Back to Back Podiums

Snagged an age group single speed win by 2/10ths of a second at The Divide in Manton.

I pulled him back from a long ways out and we traded spots heading into town.  I took the corner to the outside and took the W at the line.

These are valuable points for the single speed gravel series.

I am especially stoked coming off of a second-place age group finish at the cereal city triathlon the day before.

Stay tune for or to shore race results.

Show up and Finish (and get a medal)

Here comes the sun!

Another 10K age group win.  Race number to Southwest Michigan cross country series.

6th overall among a field of High School kids.

I was the first G.A.M and that’s all that matters.  Until next time.
